Agosto’ is located in the southern end of Florida in the confluence of Santa
Lucia River and The Virgin Stream. In 1873 the town was founded by Ramón
Álvarez with the appearance of the railway. The town was identified with the railway for
years.

25 de Agosto se encuentra en el extremo sur de Florida en la confluencia del Río Santa Lucía y el Arroyo de la Virgen. En 1873 el pueblo fue fundado por Ramón Álvarez con la aparición del tren. El pueblo se identificó con el tren por años.
Hoy en día se puede apreciar la vieja estación, testigo de una era de progreso, el majestuoso puente ferroviario, sus terraplenes y aun las ruinas de un pequeñi fuerte.
